Vehicle Description
Take a look at this 1989 Daihatsu Hijet that has been highly customized to look like a 'hook and ladder' firetruck. This Daihatsu fire truck features a working light bar and PA system, with the control box located on the center console of the truck. The bed has been customized with a gooseneck-style hitch to accommodate the trailer, and also features a locking storage container, which is removable to get to the engine compartment underneath. The interior of the truck is in excellent condition, and the original interior shows very little wear. The dash is decidedly austere, with a speedometer that tops out at 30MPH, and features warning lights for oil pressure, battery, and headlight functions, as well as fuel and temperature gauges and a trailer brake control module. The trailer features seating for roughly fifteen, sixteen if you include the tillerman's seat, which has working steering and is necessary for driving the truck. The exterior of the trailer features a set of wooden ladders on each side, along with yellow emergency lights. This Daihatsu Hijet fire truck was previously featured on the television show Hart of Dixie, which starred Rachel Bilson. The cab exterior is decorated with decals indicating it served with the Town of Bluebell Fire Department, a fictional Alabama town where the show takes place. This fun little truck would make a great addition to a parade, fair, or any community event!
