Vehicle Description
This 1952 Chevrolet Fleetline has been highly customized to give it just the right attitude and altitude. With a complete frame-off restoration, this Fleetline now sports a Camaro front clip with power steering and power disc brakes with a 2-link rear suspension and pan hard bar. To get the altitude just right, an air-ride system was installed and is controlled via under-dash switches and a Viair gauge in place of the clock. Under the hood is a rebuilt Chevrolet 350ci V8 mated to TH350 automatic transmission that has been rebuilt as well, while out back there is a rebuilt Camaro rear end, and the car has a completely new wiring harness and fusebox that has been expertly installed. The top has a subtle 2-inch chop, and the doors, trunk, and gas door have been shaved, while the hood has been nosed and decked and Appleton spotlights have been added to the Fleetline to give it an even more 1950's custom look. The dashboard has been frenched and TPI gauges have been installed with a speedometer and multi-function gauge displaying fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and water temperature. The hidden stereo system is controlled by a module under the seat and has an auxiliary hookup for peripheral devices, while a Vintage Air air-conditioning system has been installed with the controls hidden in the original radio knobs. Power windows have been added with their controls hidden under the dash as well. Additionally, Dynamat was used on the floors, doors, and firewall for sound deadening, and the lower dash and window frames have been wood grained. The trunk has been customized with a power-lift controlled via a switch in the cabin, and a fake panel hides the air-ride system, battery, and the sound system amp and subwoofer. The interior has been redone with a black suede headliner and the seats have been done in black leather with brown piping to match the gorgeous metallic brown exterior. The Fleetline rides on Coker Classics P195-75R15 tires with 1957 Cadillac hubcaps. The custom touches done to this Fleetline make it not only an awesome show car, but also a super comfortable cruiser that can be enjoyed as a daily driver with the modern amenities that have been added.
