We are pleased to present this 1967 International Scout 800 4x4 for purchase. International Harvester developed the Scout as a precursor of more sophisticated SUV's to come. The only other 4-wheel drive recreational vehicles offered at the time were jeeps. The Scouts became known for their ability to go anywhere and have high durability. They are a key part of automotive history being considered the first SUV.
The 1967 International Scout 800 4x4 offered here is finished in Apache gold with an Olympic white top. It was harvested from Missouri where it spent many years. The 196 4 cylinder runs as it should and holds the road well. This scout has 4:27 gearing. The 3 speed manual transmission functions as it should as well. The chrome wheels and the Goodyear ultra grip tires are in great shape. The paint shows well and the interior was recently redone and is in great shape. All the chrome on the scout is in great shape. With examples such as these becoming fewer and fewer, do not hesitate to make this one yours.
