Buicks underrating of horsepower and performance figures that topped the Corvette was a no-no in the General Motors book. On the street, those in the know would seek out the flagship of the Chevy fleet to embarrass one in a light to light shootout, many had license plate frames that read I Brake for Corvettes. Most Grand Nationals were drag raced and abused to their ultimate end. A few collectors had the vision to pamper, not race and keep their cars in original show condition. We were very fortunate to find this particular Grand National is such condition, from the new smelling interior to the rust free body and undercarriage. The Hardtop model offered more structural rigidity and made it the most desired model over the T-Top or Astro Roof cars. Equipped with the desired G80 rear axle and host of power options this Grand National comes with the books, service records and original window sticker. With just under 15,000 original miles this 2 owner Grand National is an exceptional example that drives straight and true with no brake pulsating or pulling. The steering wheel is straight, the interior has the original new car smell and has no wear or tears whatsoever. The engine power is smooth and pulls strong just as you would expect from an original non molested car. The paint is super straight and mirror reflective with minimal chips or defects only noticeable under very close inspection and to be expected on a 29 year old classic.
