For Sale: 1975 Buick LeSabre in Jefferson, Wisconsin

Vehicle Description

John purchased this car new at his local dealer in July 1975. It was the “Sunday” car, as he normally drove his truck. It sat during the winter due to a steep driveway off an unpaved country road. When John passed away in 1979, his wife Francis titled it in her name. She barely drove it, preferring the safety of the truck. Her daughter and son-in-law are the ones that provided frequent exercise for the car. Francis registered it in 1990 and it sat in storage ever since. Those tags are still on the car. Now she is at a Nursing Home, so her daughter offered the car to me. I love these big boats. What a great ride! They float. The seating is very comfortable. The entire experience is delightful. Due to the very low mileage and complete originality, this car appealed to me. Having been driven just a bit over 49,000 miles, it is like new inside. It drives like a low mile car. The newer radials really help. The paint is original. Yes, there are a few flaws. Not even worth a touch-up. It polished to a pleasing gleam. The vinyl top is still in good condition. The rear bumper is rusty directly aft of the tires. The undercarriage has some surface rust. This is all due to the unpaved road and the abrasion of stones, mud and dust. Yet the floors, supports ,rockers and trunk are excellent. All features work properly with the exception of the Air Conditioning. The clutch recently locked up, so the belt was removed and placed in the trunk. A new compressor is the proper repair. But the windows do roll down! I like the looks of a four door hardtop. They appear very long and low. They are stylish, yet very functional due to the easy access to the rear seat. This is a fantastic car that will provide lots of miles and lots of smiles. Obviously it is not expensive. I believe it is a great value when you consider the low mileage and condition. It is cheaper now than when purchased new! We have all the documents from the purchase, the complete packet of Owners Manuals, registration certificate and the Broadcast Sheet. Obviously this car was important to John and Francis. This husband/wife car had an easy life. Low use, always in the garage and no winters. It is very ready for your driving enjoyment.
