1976 Chevrolet Corvette
Since they were first introduced back in the 50's Corvettes have always been a popular car. Even today the Corvette is viewed as a performance sports car that many only dream about owning someday. The success of the Corvette is linked to many different things but their ability to stay with the times with each new generation certainly helps. They are one of the few cars that completely transformed over time with each step along the way being just as popular as the last. The C3 Corvettes were the third generation which was created in 1968. This body style is extremely popular and really have the look to fit with the Sting Ray name. This 76 Vette is a very nice classic that incorporates a few custom features to really accent the original body lines. It is coated in White paint and custom ground effects were added along the lower body panels to really give it a slick streamline sporty look. The car is not considered a convertible but a cool feature on these vettes is the removable T-tops which easily slide out of place to give you that open top roadster feel. All of the glass is in good condition and is tinted. The electrical is all working properly and those iconic pop up headlights open it up with no issues. Custom pinstriping was added around the emblems and really gives the car a unique look. You typically think 30s or 40s street rods when you see pinstriping so it is really cool to see on a car like this. New gasser style wheels were just added to the car as well as brand new tires.
A newer 327 V8 crate motor and Turbo 350 automatic transmission combo was added to the car and all runs well. The engine was fitted with a chrome air cleaner and chrome Edelbrock valve covers but the original intake, air cleaner, and valve covers come with the car. It is very comfortable to drive and with power steering, power brakes, power windows and air conditioning it runs down the road with the same comforts your modern daily driver has.
The interior was all redone in 2000 and has been well maintained since. It is complete with Red upholstery and the original center console and dash. The bucket seats are in great shape as is the rest of the interior trim pieces. The car has the factory tilt column and the original steering wheel still in place. The radio is also stock and is working properly. Another cool feature is that the car comes with the sunvisor in place that was signed by legendary race car driver "Big Daddy" Don Garlits himself.
