Vehicle Description
Experience a road trip through the English countryside without ever crossing the pond. To slide behind the wheel of this '79 MG MGB is to be transported to black roads curving over rolling green fields lined with hedges and dotted with sheep.
This MGB was completely restored about ten years ago, from the black interior to the glossy pearl white finish, from the exhaust to the carburetors and suspension bushings. The engine was not rebuilt, being unnecessary, but a roller cam was added. The car feels peppy and nimble. It shifts smoothly through all four gears, and flipping the overdrive switch on the shift handle makes a noticeable difference.
The MGB is a counterpoint to the well-known characteristics of the contemporary American Muscle car: bigger, louder, thirstier, heavier. If you'd rather dance with the road than bludgeon it into submission, this lovely convertible might be the very machine you're after.
