Texas Classic Cars Of Dallas is proud to showcase this stunning 1970 Camaro Z/28.
For sale in our Dallas showroom is a fully restored 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. After a successful run of the first generation Camaro from 1967-69 Chevrolet committed to a complete redesign making this iconic muscle car larger and wider and was still based on the GM F-Body. The most coveted among collectors are the early split bumper models and the Z-28 was the top of the line. This particular 1970 is one of the finest full bumper examples you are likely to find. This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 gets everything right: numbers-matching, 4-speed, awesome color combination, and great documentation. If you want the single most collectible second-generation Camaro, this is quite likely it. A meticulous amount of maintenance and care has been done to keep this car in amazing condition and with only 1000 miles on the engine rebuild, its about as nice as they come.
That is the original, numbers-matching LT-1 350 cubic inch V8, which was the only engine available in the Z/28. Rebuilt to stock specs and dressed up the way the factory would have done it, its an engine that runs as great as it looks (we have the receipts from the build). The twin-snorkel air cleaner wears a chrome lid with reproduction decal, the finned valve covers have been a Z/28 trademark from the beginning, and, of course, Chevy Orange paint on the block just makes it look fast. The M21 close ratio 4-speed rifles through the gears without effort and the heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end is obviously built for combat as well. The factory concours correct exhaust gives it a nice look all while keeping that traditional performance sound and on the underside you will notice this car is just as clean and correct as anything you see on the exterior, and it certainly doesn't look like most 43-year-old cars we've seen. Classic SS wheels are in beautifully shape and carry a set of new Goodyear Polyglas tires and a bias ply spare. This is the one you've been waiting for: a well documented, authenticated numbers-matching, 4-speed Z/28 with no excuses and the original Protect-O-Plate. These cars are an absolute blast to drive.
