We recently purchased this Sunliner from the previous retired Utah owner who spent thousands and thousands of dollars and many, many hours on the professional restoration of this BEAUTY !! As you can clearly see in the 100 pictures and lengthy video this was his pride and joy for sure !! This Galaxie Sunliner still retains it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door pillar mounted Ford data plate - FACTORY ORIGINAL - inner trunk lid mounted jacking instruction decal and the - ORIGINAL - 1962 Ford owner's manual, all of which are shown in several pictures. This car has been a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Utah - Idaho high mountain desert - western vehicle and boy does it show !! It has good, smooth power in town and it drove effortlessly on the freeway at 70+ miles per hour !! THIS IS A QUALITY CAR FOR SURE THAT IS READY TO DRIVE, SHOW AND ENJOY !!
This BEAUTY still retains its - ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING !! - FRESH PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT !! - VERY STRONG !! - OPTIONAL - Code "X" - 352 CID V8 motor in it that is running very well indeed. It also still retains it's ORIGINAL intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL "Ford" scripted valve covers, ORIGINAL "352" scripted air cleaner housing, ORIGINAL "FoMoCo" windshield wash reservoir and the ORIGINAL carburetor, etc.... . Sounds GREAT too with the "Throaty" factory style true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT WITH LESS THAN 2,000 MILES !! - Code "4" - "Cruise-O-Matic" - three speed - automatic transmission which also functions very well. The BEAUTIFUL !! - Code "39" - Chestnut Crush Vinyl Sunliner interior is in VERY NICE condition including a VERY NICE Chestnut Crush Vinyl front seat, NICE Light Tan carpeting, NICE ORIGINAL Matching Chestnut Crush Vinyl door panels, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Galaxie steering wheel, VERY NICE Chestnut Crush Vinyl rear seat, VERY NICE Chestnut Crush Vinyl sun visors and VERY NICE ORIGINAL factory gauge clusters. All of the ORIGINAL black rubber weatherstripping is still soft, supple and is in good condition for being original. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !! The GORGEOUS !! - Code "V" - Chestnut Iridescent exterior finish is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL !! with very little to no wear showing and looks STUNNING as you can clearly see in the video above and 100 ADDITIONAL PICTURES !! The NEARLY NEW White Vinyl convertible top is also in VERY NICE condition and sports a VERY NICE Matching White Vinyl convertible top boot cover. The BEAUTIFUL - Chestnut Crush Vinyl Sunliner interior and the matching Chestnut Iridescent exterior with the NEARLY NEW White vinyl power convertible top is a GREAT color combination indeed, how could you get any better ?!! This Galaxie Sunliner is a great runner and a real nice looker. This Sunliner Convertible is nicely equipped including factory power steering, factory front wing windows, factory power wipers, factory style front and rear seat belts, original chrome driver's side view exterior mirror, good heater and defroster, factory gauge clusters with 120 MPH speedometer, aftermarket Equus water temperature gauge, original clock which is no longer working, original Ford AM radio which is no longer working, an awesome VR digital AM / FM stereo radio and factory back up lights. This Sunliner Drop Top has GORGEOUS looks and GREAT power ! There are not many of these left on the roads for sure !!
These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. Check out the BEAUTIFUL - FACTORY ORIGINAL - stainless steel Galaxie 500 Sunliner wheel covers and a set of 4 NEARLY NEW whitewall steel belted radial tires, boy do they look outstanding on this Sunliner and really retain that CLEAN - "Factory Original" look !! The CLEAN - SOLID - Trunk sports an ORIGINAL style vinyl liner, a full size whitewall radial spare tire and the ORIGINAL jack and lug wrench. This vintage Ford convertible is a good investment opportunity and it is priced right ! This vehicle is in very good condition from top to bottom and from front to back. It will not disappoint someone looking for a good example of a sought after and hard to find convertible collector car which is not seen at every stop light for sure.
