In 1988, only 3,761 convertibles Z-28s were produced, most of which had the 4-speed automatic transmission. This vehicle has the rarely optioned 5-speed manual transmission. With just over 17,000 original miles, this Camaro still has plenty of life left in it and many road trips left to take. The original Bright Red paint shines like fire in the sunlight and contrasts wonderfully against the gold decals and tan interior. The black convertible top still shows like new.
The torquey 305 cubic inch V8 and optional performance rear-gear, make this Camaro truly a performance machine. A spin of the key rewards the driver with the soft burble of the low-mileage Chevrolet small block just itching to be let loose. The convertible top drops easily and lets in all the sun that you could want. The Camaro hugs the road like it would never let go, but press the gas pedal enough and the tail end of the car will try to pass the front.
