History:
This 1967 Yenko Camaro is one of just 54 of the first-year
legendary Yenko Super Camaro 450’s of which very few are known to
exist today. Unlike the Yenko’s that followed, the 1967’s were
modified by Dick Harrell’s Performance Center in St. Louis,
Missouri.
This car arrived at Harrell’s shop as an Ermine White L78/SS 396
big-block in the desirable Rally Sport trim. After six days of
work, Harrell’s team added the legendary 427 450-hp big-block,
upgraded the transmission, rear-end, suspension, wheels, brakes,
exhaust, and added a fiberglass hood among other modifications. On
August 1, 1967, this car sold as a group of six Super Camaro 450’s
sold to Jay Kline Chevrolet of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
It is in amazing condition following expert restoration by Dave
Tinnell of Dave’s Auto Service in Edmonton, Kentucky.
