For Sale: 2013 Ford Mustang Roush Stage 2 in Ft Worth, Texas
When it comes down to tuner Mustangs, no other name stands as tall as Jack Roush. The cars (and engines) bearing his name represent the pinnacle of Blue Oval performance, something demonstrated in excellent form by this 2013 Ford Mustang Roush Stage II. It shows just over 12,000 original miles and remains in as-delivered condition in virtually every way, making it one heck of a bargain compared to just about anything you'd buy today.
If you're going to have the nastiest, fastest Mustang on the block, why not paint it bright red? By 2013, the Roush cars were fully developed, and that included a few body modifications that blend in so well that it's almost impossible to spot them without a stock GT sitting next to it. Up front there's a custom grille and a vented hood with a big scoop on top; nothing gaudy, mind you, just functional-looking. Rocker extensions mirror the chin spoiler and a smallish 3-piece spoiler on the deck emphasizes the Mustang's fastback profile. Roush graphics and badges are another reminder that this is no ordinary Mustang, just in case the big wheels and stance didn't tip you off. Of course, with so few miles, this one is almost like new in every way that matters, with a fantastic shine on the paint, beautiful factory panel fit, and very little evidence that it's ever been driven on the street. This is still a car that can make other muscle cars run and hide.
Anchored by a set of grippy two-tone bucket seats, the interior is a serious place for doing the business of driving fast. The original leather buckets now wear alacantara inserts with Jack Roush's signature, and the result totally transforms the Mustang's driver's compartment. You also get upgrades like special white-faced gauges, a trick shifter for the 6-speed manual gearbox, and, of course, more Jack Roush signatures (who does he think he is, Carroll Shelby?). The Mustang's features list includes powerful A/C, power seats, windows, locks, and mirrors, cruise control, and a thundering AM/FM/CD/satellite stereo system that's both iPod and Bluetooth compatible. And for security, this car has been equipped with a LoJack system that tracks it should it be stolen, plus all the windows have been etched to make it doubly difficult to steal.
The Stage 2 Roush package didn't need to do much to the Coyote 5.0 liter V8, which cranks out more than 400 horsepower and makes a plateau-like torque curve. No, what Roush engineers focused on was bringing the rest of the car up to this remarkable engine's level. Smooth, tractable, eminently civilized, it also rips through the gears with the force of a starving, er, coyote. It's completely unmodified and has always been properly maintained, including Mobil 1 oil from Day One. The aforementioned 6-speed manual is a joy to shift and with Ford's factory efforts being as good as they are, the Roush engineers focused on suspension. Up front there is an upgraded sway bar, lower, stiffer springs, and upgraded bushings. In back, it gets a custom upper control arm to manage the Mustang's notorious wheel hop, making for a Mustang that feels far more agile without the harsh ride penalty. Four wheel disc brakes are famously powerful right out of the box, but this car surrounds them with optional 20-inch Roush alloys wrapped in 275/35/20 Cooper performance radials.
Fully documented with the original window sticker, bill of sale, maintenance records, and manuals, this spotless Roush delivers big performance that's still a bargain in today's world. Call now!
