This 1969 Dodge Charger was one of four built by John Schneider, who played Bo Duke in the hit CBS television program “The Dukes of Hazzard.” Like the cars used in the show it is completed in orange and features the “01” on the side of the door as well as a Confederate flag on the roof. The cars built by Schneider are distinguishable by “Bo’s General Lee” written above the doors. Additional exterior features include a front bumper guard, rear mounted antenna and “Vector” style wheels. Previous owners of this “Bo’s General Lee” include John Schneider as well as former NBA basketball player and current ESPN analyst Jalen Rose. A letter of authenticity accompanies the car signed by Schneider acknowledging having built and owned the car as well as confirming Jalen Rose’s ownership. In addition to the letter of authenticity confirming Jalen Rose’s ownership, the vehicle comes with a certificate of title copy from the state of Michigan which lists Jalen Rose as the owner of the car.
This 1969 Dodge Charger is powered by a V-8 engine which is paired to a floor-shift automatic transmission. Power equipment on the car includes steering and brakes. The interior features tan bucket seats with black piping which are separated by a center console. The car is signed by numerous people on both the driver’s side sunvisor as well as under the trunk. The signatures are highlighted by John Schneider, Jalen Rose and Sonny Shroyer who played Deputy Enos Strate. This “Bo’s General Lee” was featured in Mopar Collector’s Guide magazine which stated it appeared several of John Schneider’s commercials in addition to starring in the film “Behind the Scenes with Bo.”
