Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1953 Buick Special Coupe
for purchase. The Special was Buick's versatile model-line offering
luxurious features for General Motors fans. The Special went
through its first post-WWII redesign halfway through 1949. The
Fireball inline 8 engine replaced the pre-WWII I8 in 1951 greatly
improving the driving experience for these cars as more people were
commuting regularly. The Special had comfortable interiors for the
family as well and even nice touches like the tissue holder as
driving distances grew the standards.
This '53 Buick Special looks great it in Glacier Blue and is a
really nice mostly original find that Buick fans will appreciate.
Outside of some selective works to the paint and interior, this car
looks to be mostly intact displaying the same look & feel you would
have received new. The 263.3ci inline Fireball 8 engine (which is
rarely found) is paired with the twin turbo dynaflow automatic
transmission. The engine number was actually used for the title, a
common practice in Michigan before 1955, and both tags are easily
read on the car. This car runs and drives great ready for its next
owner! Please call or email for more details!
