1949 Hudson Commodore 8 Brougham Convertible Completely Restored
for sale With the Hudson Motor Company being among the few
remaining in the late 1940s' the introduced their Commodore, a car
which was very well received. Their famous "Step Down" design,
mounting the floor of the car to the underneath of the chassis
instead of the top allowed for a very low center of gravity with
excellent interior space. The top of the line Brougham Convertible
was a very attractive car with great options available including
the straight 8 cylinder, 254 cubic inch engine. Only 595 Commodore
Brougham Convertibles would be built for the 1949 model year. This
beautiful example has been completely restored in a striking colour
called Cornish Cream with a burgundy interior and black convertible
top. Having started the restoration with a clean car, the quality
of it becomes apparent as you inspect the car. The body and paint
have been tastefully restored along with the chrome and aluminum
bright work. The leather interior is in excellent condition with
all the desirable options present and accounted for including but
not limited to power convertible top, power windows, drivers side
spot light, Hudson radio and of course the previously mentioned
inline 8 cylinder engine with 3 speed transmission. This Hudson
Commodore 8 convertible provides and experience and appearance
which is very much representative of the era it came from while
still being a very unique example of its time as well. The unique
design, beautiful stunning and recent restoration make this a great
car for the collector or enthusiasts of this special time in
