Vehicle Description
This 1974 Ferrari 246 GTS Dino is one of just 313 Spiders from the final year of production and is the more desirable European version. Although a European model, it was sold new in the USA by Bill Harrah's Modern Classic Motors in Nevada. It was originally finished in Rosso Chiaro with a Nero interior, just as it appears today. As is typical with European models, there are no power windows or air-conditioning.
This wonderful Dino has spent most of its life on the West Coast and has escaped any periods of disrepair and shows no signs of ever having rust or accident damage. The paintwork is very good and the interior is tidy, with a comfortable amount of wear. In early 2016, the engine was removed and given a concours level detail by a top Dino specialist. While the engine was out, a major service was performed and a new clutch installed. All suspension and brake components were completely disassembled, refinished and reinstalled with all new bushings and hardware. The brake calipers, lines and accompanying hardware were given the same concours treatment. After reassembly, countless hours and miles were spent fine tuning the rebuild making sure it performs flawlessly. In addition, this Dino has been Ferrari Classiche Certified and has a "Red Book."
