Vehicle Description

1934 CADILLAC V12 TOWN SEDAN BY FLEETWOOD MATCHING #S V12 ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ORIGINAL FLEETWOOD BODY JUST ACQUIRED FROM A PROMINENT NEW YORK COLLECTION ONLY YEAR FOR THE BI-PLANE BUMPERS MODEL SPECTACULAR RESTORATION! ONE OF ONLY 683 PRODUCED ONE OF VERY FEW V12’S STILL IN EXISTENCE! OPTIONS INCLUDE: TRUNK RACK HOT WATER HEATER PAINTED WIRE WHEELS GODDESS HOOD ORNAMENT A COLLECTOR’S DREAM! Cadillac entered 1934 with increasingly streamlined styling, worn to great effect on the factory’s beautiful Fisher and Fleetwood body styles, which were offered in an astonishing array of variations—52 styles in all! The Fleetwood Town Sedan, in particular, featured a beautiful formal “two-window” roofline yet had a relatively sporty and dramatic air about it. Undoubtedly, few were built and fewer still survive today. This example is finished in stunning Richmond Maroon with a tan broadcloth interior, and is among one of the finest V12 Cadillacs we’ve seen in years. This beautifully restored Cadillac is a series 370D (body style 6033-S); it harnesses a 133 bhp, 368 cubic inch OHV V-12 engine, three-speed selective-shift manual transmission, independent front suspension with coil springs, three-quarter floating rear axle with semi-elliptical leaf springs, and four-wheel vacuum-assisted mechanical brakes and has a wheelbase of 146 inches. It is well-equipped with many options including: a hot water heater, flexible steering wheel, trunk rack, painted wire wheels, goddess hood ornament, as well as rear compartment dual footrests and an umbrella cabinet. A copy of its original build sheet, which accompanies the car, notes that it was delivered to A.W. Golden, Inc., the Cadillac dealer in Reading, Pennsylvania, and tagged for sale to Mr. L.J. Clarke. Importantly, the car retains both its original bodywork, the Fleetwood Town Sedan with a flat windshield, and the original V-12 engine. This investment-grade Fleetwood V12 Sedan exhibits the highly coveted “Bi-Plane” Bumpers, a feature unique to the 1934 production year. Classic cars have proven to be among the most resilient and rewarding investments in recent years with the Historic Automobile Group Index (HAGI) jumping 39% in 2013 and posting gains of 395-percent over the last 10-years.
