Up for sale we have a 1966 Chevy Chevelle Super Sport. This is a
true SS with the 138 Vin. It has under gone a full frame off
restoration with a photo album to document the resto. This car has
a ton of eye appeal and great driver options with the 396, Muncie 4
Speed, and 12 Bolt Posi. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a
brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the
Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee.
We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no
consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You
can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a
big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So,

We will start off with the exterior of the Chevelle. When set off
the body everything was pulled apart and stripped to metal. What
work was needed was done before primer and hours of blocking.
Everything was the reinstalled to check for fit before paint. The
body is covered in the Ermine White Paint that has a slick finish
with good detail in the jams and trunk. It's accented by the Black
Vinyl Top that was new at the time of the resto. The bumpers were
replaced along with other chrome. All the glass has been installed
with new seals and gaskets along with the weather stripping around
the doors and trunk. All of the stainless around the glass and top
looks very good as does the grill. This SS is sitting on a set of
15" Rev Wheels with Red Wall Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of the Super Sport. On the
inside it's done in the correct bucket seats and console with a
Hurst Shifter. The seats and door panels are covered with the
correct black covers. The carpet and headliner are also done in
black. When you look at the dash it has a new pad and it has the
gauge instrument panel with the knee knocker tach. Also, it has a
tilt column with the Rosewood wheel. This Chevelle has also been
upgraded with an AM/FM CD Player mounted under the dash.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under
the hood it's powered by a '68 model 396 block that's dressed with
an Aluminum Intake and Holley Carb. The valve covers and breather
are chrome. This Chevelle comes with the Muncie Four Speed Trans
and 12 Bolt Posi Rear. The exhaust flows through stock manifolds
and duals with the stock style mufflers. The wiring under the hood
all appears to be new. When you look under this ride it's been
coated with bed liner and all the bushings are new. Also, it has a
new fuel tank and lines. The brakes were updated with Power and
Disc on the front with new lines and parking brake. To complete the
options, it comes with Power Steering.
