With a combination of original 50s styling and more modern
performance this 1955 Chevrolet is one cool classic that is very
comfortable to drive. The body is in good shape and done in a two
tone Red and Ivory that always proves to be a popular color
combination. This is paired with the original chrome and stainless
trim which is in great shape. All of the glass is in good condition
and has a dark tint. LED taillights were added in the rear and it
has the stock headlights up front. The car wears rally wheels under
all four corners and has fresh BF Goodrich radial tires that have a
lot of life left in them.
Powering the car is a 350 V8 fast burn crate motor that has plenty
of power and runs well. It has been dressed up with chrome
Chevrolet valve covers and a chrome air cleaner. A new Holley 4
barrel carburetor was just added and adjusted for a nice smooth
idle. An aftermarket radiator was installed along with an electric
fan so cooling issues are no problem. The complete exhaust system
is brand new and delivers a great sound that exits just before the
rear bumper. Backing the motor is a 4 speed automatic transmission
with overdrive that moves through the gears smoothly. Disc brakes
have been added to the front of the car as well as power steering
which helps make it a very comfortable driver. Other features
include the MSD ignition and a power kill switch.
The interior was freshly redone and looks like new. It is done in a
Red and White color combo to match the body and utilizes a split
bench seat up front. The dash has the original style trim, knobs
and switches but analog Dakota Digital gauges have been installed
into the original housing. A Dakota Digital clock was also added in
front of the passenger. In dash vents are used for the AC/heat but
an underdash unit was also built to house 2 center vents and the
Kenwood AM/FM/CD player that is bluetooth and sirius ready. The
stereo has a great sound and incorporates 2 amps and subwoofers. An
aftermarket center console sits on the seat and on the floor you
will find the Lokar shifter. A polished tilt column has been added
to the car as well as a custom two tone steering wheel.
This is a fun classic that is ready for a new home!
