This is an original appearing, rust-free car that has lots of documented thee-owner history. It was always cared for by mature adults in Arkansas and Missouri. The original Owners Manual and Warranty booklet tell us that the first owner purchased the car as a model year holdover in Ft.Smith, AK. He drove it about 80,000 miles in 16 years, then sold it to a man from Independence, MO. He put on 23,000 miles in seven years. His brother inherited this car in 1993. Since then, it has been driven about 14,000 miles. Today the odometer reads, 16,800. It has always been Dark Green with a dark green vinyl top and Dark Green interior. It has Soft-Ray glass and air conditioning. It rolls on Rally wheels and has power steering, power brakes and AM radio. The second owner had it repainted in 1988. That same paint resides today. It has plenty of chips and scratches from enjoyment. When the touch up paint arrives, we plan to go over it and touch it up. During the process of repainting, the car was stripped. We have photos showing it to be rust-free. At about the same time, the upholstery was redone. The headliner and carpet were replaced in 1999. It all looks nice. Missouri requires annual mileage records for cars registered on historic plates. The most recent owner kept this log and it can be compared to his maintenance receipts. We have determined that major mechanical work was done within the last 800 miles of driving. The engine was rebuilt, as was the transmission. New brakes and suspension were installed. The starter and welded exhaust system are new. The tires were replaced. The owners adult son removed the body from the frame. He cleaned and repainted the floors, chassis and trunk floor. It is all very attractive. there are no signs of rust. At this time the A/C needs to be charged and the radio does not play. Otherwise, all features function properly. All lights are working. The doors lock via key. There is a correct jack in the trunk. There is also a spare wheel/tire. The engine runs strong. It is almost new! I believe it will run even better after it gets broke in and the fuel is perfectly free. This is a very original appearing and well cared for Monte Carlo. It has great history and lots and lots of miles left to give. You can be the fourth owner of this wonderful cruiser.
