Vehicle Description
This 1974 Plymouth 'Cuda was built with the art of the car in mind.
It's a labor of love that includes beautiful custom paint,
one-of-a-kind A/C interior, five-speed manual, and a mean 512 ci
600 hp six-pack monster under the hood - this coupe is what happens
when someone decides that only the best will do.
Tangelo Pearl, that's the name of the amazing color that
immediately grabs your attention. While that expensive shade, and
extra deep clearcoat are worth every penny (even on the
undercarriage!), that's not everything that keeps you focused on
this coupe. It perfectly blends old and new world styles with the
classic blacked-out hood treatment and the airbrushed graphics
running down the side. Yes, that's a barracuda skeleton showing off
the evilly aggressive soul. Even the wheels are a perfect blend,
with the Mopar Performance alloys hinting at classic design lines.
This 'Cuda was Gold-Certified at the Chrysler Nationals, and is a
five-time first-place winner. That means all the details are really
right on this one. The panels have a precision gap that comes from
time and effort (this car has no shims!) There's investment in
items like the HID headlights surrounded by hydro-dipped bezels
(look very closely for the 'Cuda skeletons here too), door handles
integrated into the custom graphics, Rhino Liner in the rear wheel
wells, and custom LED brake lights built into the spoiler. We could
list all of the investments in the exterior, but then we'd run out
of room to go over all the work on the interior and drivetrain.
No expense was spared getting the inside to be the coolest custom
setup any Mopar fan would love. It carries all the iconic classic
elements like the 'Cuda on the broad door panels, expansive
dashboard, and pistol-grip shifter, but there's so much more. The
exterior orange is used as piping for the custom leather seats, a
door panel boarder, and the basecoat for the custom flames running
throughout the interior. That attention to uniform detail is a true
award-winning touch only seen on the best cars. You'll slip behind
the custom 'Cuda chrome wheel and see all the information you need,
including the large AutoMeter Phantom speedo and tach. This coupe
is loaded with power windows, custom cup holders, and ice-cold air
conditioning. The AM/FM/CD stereo has a hookup for your iPod to
play out of the 1,400-watt subwoofer system, but really your
favorite soundtrack will always come from the engine bay.
Under the hood is a true beast. This build is custom to the core
with the 440 cubic-inch V8 enlarged to 512, and yes, it has the
famous triple deuce "six-pack" carburetors. It also includes Bullet
roller cam & lifters, ported & polished performance heads, forged
crank, and JE pistons. There are a TON more performance components
to list (call for all the details) but just know that this is rated
at 598 rear wheel horsepower, and the header-fed dual exhaust (with
cutouts) lets the world know it! The stout Tremec TKO 600
five-speed manual transmission means you have complete control over
this power package. And it all reliably hooks up with the ground
via Moser Dana 60 rear end, fortified with Alloy axles and a
Detroit locker. But more than just all out performance, this is an
overdrive transmission car with power steering and Wilwood
four-wheel disc brakes. So the motor has been fortified with
reliable components like an aluminum radiator and dual speed
electric fan. This all means you can reliably cruise this beast all
day with the A/C cranked (that's why much of its 12K miles since
built was added on the Power Tour!)
This was already a rare Mopar before the custom work began, and
you'll be shown the factory build sheet, owner's manual,
maintenance records, and restoration photos & receipts to prove it
all! We've already run out of room to tell you about the ~$200k
spent on all the exterior, interior, and drivetrain components that
went into this labor of love. So call today for all the details on
this one-of-a-kind Mopar that's turnkey ready for roadtrips and
award shows!
