Vehicle Description
1965 Land Rover Model IIA, Only put 3500 miles on since 2 year restoration.
All work done by renowed westcoast Landrover expert, Peter Petrovi of Marina Motors in Venice, California. I probably have $80,000 in the car at this point now...
Complete nut-bolt restoration. Everything rebuilt or replaced to original specs. I did add a few creature comforts though for the daily driver and better comfort... Marina Motors has a great Power Steering set-up that I decided to have done. Its wonderful to have for city driving and parking. I also used a Series III transmission instead of the Series II for better synchros and performance. Also with the transmission I had "Rover Drive" overdrive installed for going on the freeway. A beautiful green leather interior was made-up and installed, I also installed heat and sound matting under all the new carpets, and very nice leather door cards were manufactured and look amazing on the 3 doors... All 6 seats have seat belts, there is a good Pioneer blue-tooth stereo, auto cabin lights installed so you can see when the door is opened at night, and disk brakes were installed all around for better stopping power...
The truck as the Safari top option for better heat insulation also...
The exterior finish is the original aluminum body panels unpainted, but polished, it's not treated with anything. I have polished the car twice during the year since getting the car back from restoration to keep shinny.
All new weather stripping all around.
All wipper motors rebuilt and look great.
I have the original tool kit, the owners manual, and the owners service book also...
Complete photo diary of restoration included
A truly unique truck made for daily use or shows...
