Everything you're looking for on a Plymouth Road Runner complete
with a 426 Hemi, an "Air Grabber" Hood, "Voice of Road Runner"
horn, and "Lime Light" paint.
This Road Runner may not have left the factory with a Hemi and a
4-Speed, but thanks to some hard work this car now has the sought
after 426 Hemi under the hood. Drive this down the road without the
worry of the high value of a factory Hemi car.
The interior has custom bucket seats up front and in the back
replacing the rear bench seat. The seats and custom door panels are
adorned with the infamous road runner logo, and a pistol grip
shifter and matching steering wheel round out the interior. The
exterior of the vehicle has been repainted in the eye catching Lime
Light color, this car left the factory wearing Light Gold paint
with a black vinyl top.
The 426ci Hemi is an upgrade from the original factory specs of
this car. The car originally left the factory with a 383ci 4-BBL V8
connected to a Heavy Duty Automatic that pumped out 335 horsepower.
The 383 is nothing to sneeze at and was definitely capable of
propelling the car down the road quickly......then there is the 426
Hemi. The Hemi was a pricey option at the time, but for the extra
money spent, you were looking at over 400 horsepower. With the
installation of the Hemi in this Road Runner, a Air Grabber hood
was installed. The Air Grabber hood was standard with the Hemi cars
and available on the 440 cars.
