1970 Corvette Coupe – LT1 350/370 HP – Matching #’s !
1970 marked the end of an era in many Corvette enthusiasts’ minds. This was the last year for an 11:1, high compression, solid lifter small block option, but what an option it was !
Chevrolet dropped the new optional LT1 into the 1970 Corvette and the Corvette ZR1 version. The engine had oversize valves, solid valve lifters and forged steel connecting rods and pistons. Also included were performance heads, a four-barrel Holley carburetor, Delco ignition and dual plane high-rise aluminum manifold. Chevrolet also installed high-volume oil and fuel pumps, and a special high-lift cam. This made for a light-weight, high revving engine that some magazines reported as near 400 HP !
Now you can relive those long ago days with this prime example of the most potent LT1 produced. With C2 Fuel Injected Corvettes approaching $100,000, these prime LT1 Corvettes are sure to appreciate.
