Vehicle Description
The MG A design dates back to 1951, when head designer Syd Enever
created a body for the Le Mans race car. After many re-designs due
to some problem areas like seating position and suspension the A
was built and went in to civilian production.
It was a body on frame design that used a independent coil springs
with wishbone front suspension and a rigid rear axle and a rack and
pinion steering. The drivetrain was a take-away from the earlier
saloon and was a 1489 cc engine that originally only put out 68 HP
but was later upgraded to a staggering 72HP. Total production
numbers for the seven year run was almost 60,000 units.
This Little A that we are offering has been in long term ownership
and has been driven and mechanically maintained. The top is in good
condition and so are the seats. The red paint shows wear as does
some of the other cosmetics. This car however for the money would
make a great driver or touring car as it starts easy and goes down
the road very well. To see over 80 photos of this car, including
