The Lemans is similar enough to the GTO that many people mix them up. The Lemans has the 326 engine with a 2 Barrel Carb, rated at 250 HP. This car was issued new with Air Conditioning - Body is near perfect, paint is good, interior is very good.
We are the second owner. The original owner purchased this car in May 1967 and drove it as a daily driver until 1985, putting 148,000 miles on it. Then it was painted, new carpets installed and put in the garage only to be driven once each month, to keep it in good running order, until we purchased it 14 years later in 1999. Since 1999 it has been treated strictly as a classic car and during that time we have put only about 800 miles on it. Current odometer is 148,800.
We have the receipt framed for the original purchase. The car comes with a second pair of the original snow tires mounted on wheels. We have the original owner’s manual, accessories manual, and owner protection plan that was issued with the new car. The seats are original and in perfect condition. They look so good we could hardly believe they were original when we purchased it in 1999. The original owner, a woman, was very petite and did not wear the seats at all. The car is all original. The engine and drive drain are in good running condition and no major engine work has ever been performed on it.
