Winner of 2013 Pacific Northwest Nationals “Trick Truck” Award. Truck was
featured in May 2013 issue of Custom Classic Truck magazine. Professionally built by Maxwell’s Metal Works in Marysville WA. You are just now starting to see this vintage of Ford trucks being built. This is your chance to pick up a completed project for a fraction of the build price.
About the truck:
The stock frame has been notched and boxed to accommodate the TCI Mustang II front end and 13” Wildwood Disc brakes. The rear suspension is a 4 bar TCI coil over, and houses a 9” Ford Posi with 4.11 gears and Wildwood Discs. The truck rides on Proxes ST 255/R45-18&20’s, respectively, mounted to a sweet set of Budnick- Fontana wheels.
All body work was done in house by Maxwell’s and coated with multiple layers of PPG
Luxo Blue/Ivory. All chrome was replaced except the original grill, which was chrome plated and re-used for nostalgia sake. The interior of the truck features, Auto Meter Gauges, AC by Old Air, Power Windows by Nu Relics, Tilt wheel by Flaming River 15” matching Budnik leather wrapped steering wheel, and a JVC sound system. The custom tan leather interior was done by Paul Reikland at Cederdale Upholstry. Paul was also asked to finish out the bed of the truck under the custom made locking hard shell so that items could be kept safe and sound at the car shows.
Reflecting in the mirror finish of the engine compartment and just the right amount of chrome, sits a 400 HP Fuel Injected 347 Stroker Crate Motor from Engine factory, matched up to Ford AOD, built by Monster Transmission. Custom Sanderson headers are hooked up to the HPC coated 3”exhaust which peak out just behind the back tires and gives just that perfect rumble when it is fired up. MDS ignition and K&N intake round out the power plant. The underside of this truck is just a pretty as the top side. Powder coated frame, custom fuel tank, polished fuel lines and shiny black paint.
