1986 PORSCHE 930 TURBO COUPE
In the early 1980's Porsche dispatched a secret team of engineers, craftsmen, racers, and a couple of “car guys” to a hide-a-way in the mountains of the Black Forest. Their sole mission was to design the most potent, menacing, street beast, 911 ever . This 911 would have to strike pure fear into anyone who encountered it on the street. It would have to give it's owner an incredible adrenaline rush when depressing the accelerator pedal. It would have to inspire great satisfaction and awe upon viewing it. This 911 would have to be a Turbo. It would have to be a beautiful gloss black with black leather interior. Porsche knew that only a select few would be able to appreciate a Black on Black Turbo Charged 911. Only a person of strong character and extreme self confidence could own and drive such a Porsche.
For all the others, Porsche would make red, blue, and other 930's.
Of course this story is not true. What is true is, to this day there is no other car that is clearly recognized as the ultimate street machine, it is the Porsche 930. Further it is a special person who can see the sinister beauty in a Black on Black 930 Turbo.
