This 1988 Mercedes 560SL is a low-mileage example clad in attractive Smoke Silver over Middle Red leather interior. The penultimate year of production these late W107s represent the best of the breed of the long-running SL that debuted in 1972. The roadster is in good original condition and shows well overall; the original paint looks nice with some minor imperfections consistent with age -- the car has no known accidents or paintwork. Clean CarFax.Interior shows well with only minor wear on the driver's seat outer bolster and a small split in the boot cover upholstery. The late W107 leather seats are a nice improvement over earlier versions. Carpet dash door panels and headliner are in very good condition. Original Becker Grand Prix stereo cassette. Both the hard top and soft top are present and a hard top stand is included with the sale. The soft top is in good overall condition and it may be original -- it has a Mercedes-branded rear window. The soft top does have a small repaired area over the driver's door (about three inches long). Hard top is excellent. With fewer than 78000 actual miles it runs and drives great. Recent service within the last two years includes new valve cover gaskets engine and transmission mounts subframe bushings muffler air pump fuel pump full tune-up belts and new front brakes.
