Up for sale is a FIAT Spider, Anniversary Edition, #366 of 1,000. It comes with the original FIAT Manufacturer's Window sticker which also states that it is an Anniversary Edition Spider. It has the rare power window option, power antenna, and Anniversary badging. Over $35K invested (Documented in a 4" 3-Ring Binder...have pictures as well) from start to finish and everything done during and after completion. Everything was either reconditioned, replaced, or fabricated. Rebuilt upper motor (lower portion of motor was in tip top shape) and transmission with less than 300 miles on it (freshened up in October of 2016). New clutch, lightened fly wheel, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing (installed in October of 2016). Cross member/engine cradle has additional plating welded for superior reinforcement as they were notorious for cracking. This was an accident and rust free California car and I do have the original California blue plate for this car when it was first registered back in 1981. In April of 2007, I purchased the car in Montebello, California, transported it back to Michigan with Reliable Carriers and performed the ground up restoration. PO spent over $6K on the paint job before I bought it and it shows. Some of the things I have done were encapsulating the already clean and rust free floor boards with Rust Bullet, complete restoration of the dash, upper, and lower consoles which was completed by Just Dashes in Van Nuys, California, installation of solid Mahogany Wood for the individual dash pieces, all gauges replaced with NOS, new interior outfitted with Corbeau leather seats and inflatable lumbar, top of the line canvas/fabric convertible top which is tan in color, convertible top header bow which was powder coated, all suspension parts replaced, including springs, shocks, upper and lower control arms, etc., custom made high performance aluminum radiator, new brakes with Brembo rotors (installed in October of 2016 with less than 300 miles on them), new exhaust, Alpine sound system with two sub woofer enclosures (one for local commuting and the other designed to fit a spare Team Dynamics wheel with tire on top - these are the wheels on the car you see), and much, much more. No expense was spared during restoration and many items were replaced with NOS. This car is solid and built better than it ever came from the factory! This car needs absolutely nothing and everything works as it should. Many spare parts including power window regulators, original chromed LE wheels with brand new Michelin Pilot tires, clean original bumpers, luggage rack, rust free moldings and trim, starter, alternator, etc. Really, too much to list and you will need a Mini-Van/SUV/Truck to fit all the spare parts. Vehicle can be easily transformed back to stock/original condition if you so choose. Asking $27,300, which is the high NADA retail as of September, 2016. I've enjoyed this car immensely but it's time to let someone else enjoy her. I have my eye on another sports car, but I'm in no hurry to sell and therefore, only serious inquiries will be considered. The NADA value keeps going up every year. Just 4 years ago, the high NADA retail was $23,500. A very detailed three page inspection/review of the car is available, which was completed by Jon Logan of Midwest-124, Ltd., located in Columbus, Ohio (www.midwest124.com). Again, this car can be driven across country and needs absolutely nothing.
