Vehicle Description
In 1955, Chevrolet introduced their second generation trucks, the Task Force series. Chevrolet's 3100, 3200 and 3600 series trucks fell under this designation. New for 1955 was a unique wrap-around windshield as well as an electrical system upgrade to 12-volts. In 1956, the Task Force series saw very minor changes; it did however mark the final year of the egg crate front grill. The Task Force series truck production continued through 1960. This 1956 Chevrolet Series 3100 Stepside Pickup has been frame-off restored and is presented in gloss red with C-H-E-V-R-O-L-E-T printed in white lettering on the tailgate. The truck is powered by a 265-cid, 155 HP V8 engine paired to a floor-shift four-speed manual transmission. The interior features a brown bench seat and a floor-shift four-wheel-drive system. The bed of the truck is completed with oak slats and stainless steel strips. Exterior features include a driver's side mirror and a new chrome grill, bumpers and emblems. The attention to detail on this truck is excellent. Youtube video available upon request. Call our classic car division at 815-385-8408 for video and/or vehicle information.
