Retaining its original steel body, this rare stepside truck was purchased new in Phoenix, Arizona, on January 11, 1982 with only 21 miles on it! Finished in a brilliant Mahogany Metallic, this all steel body pickup shows extremely well. The finish on this 2015 paint job is so deep and rich it looks wet! This Chevrolet was equipped with a optional sliding rear window from the factory. All the trim is present, complete and displays a brilliant finish. The front and rear chrome bumpers are tight and finish is exquisite. The optional chrome front brush guard and towing package are nice additions. The newer Oak bed was installed in the Spring of 2015 still looks great. The square headlights and tail lights are in very good condition with no hazing or cracking. Inside the Red cloth interior features cloth bench seat which looks great. The door panels and dashboard are a continuation of the interior of the truck and look fantastic.. The headliner matches the same cloth as the seat. The black carpet is very good condition with normal wear. The weather-stripping is excellent condition, with no signs of drying, tearing or shrinkage. All the original gauges are placed in the metal faced dashboard. The heat, air conditioning, power windows and power locks function as designed. The Grant three spoke steering wheel with the Chevrolet AM/FM radio completes the interior, however the horn is inoperable. This exceptionally built '83 Silverado is equipped with a upgraded 350cid Goodwrench crate V8 engine fed by a newly rebuilt 4 barrel carburetor and Edelbrock air cleaner. Power is transferred to the wheels by a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Driver assist features include power steering and power brakes. Part time 4-wheel drive using the NP205 transfer case that allows shift-on-the-run hi and low range. 15-inch California alloy wheels with 31 X 10.5-15 off road tires complete the look.
