Vehicle Description
1961 Chevrolet Bel Air This is a beautifully restored and
maintained '61 Chevrolet Bel Air "Bubbletop". This car was an off
frame restoration approximately seven years ago. The car is
equipped with a period correct 348 cu. in. V8. The engine is a 335
h.p., tri-power, solid lifter engine. The car has been modified
from the original four speed to a T-600, Trimic 5 speed
transmission. The transmission was changed by the current owner and
has less then two thousand miles. The car is a radio/heater delete,
as would have been done in the sixties for competition. It has a
Sun tachometer mounted on the steering column. The car has power
steering and power drum brakes, the hoses and power steering pump
are new. It has passenger and driver seat belts. The rear end gears
are (open) 3:73, which works well with the five speed transmission.
The VIN number indicates the car was assembled in Flint, Mi. The
Data plate, on the firewall indicates the car is an authentic Bel
Air Sport Coupe equipped with a V8 engine and was white with the
blue interior. The paint is nearly flawless with a great shine. The
wheels are white with the proper "dog dish" small caps. The chrome
is nice and the grill and trim is in very nice condition. All of
the glass, with the exception of the windshield, is authentic "LOF"
glass. The windshield is a replacement. While attending a charity
car show in Chatsworth in April of 2015 the owner was invited to
enter the car in the CONCOURSE D'ELEGANCE to be held in Palos
Verdes later that year. The car is driven to local car shows in the
San Gabriel Valley area of Southern California. $44,900.00 Give us
