Vehicle Description
This complete custom build is one of only a handful of motorcycles built between 1996 and 1997 by American Iron V8 Bike Co. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and cost almost $100k at the time to create. This piece is the only one of the builds which is powered by a 327cid 425hp Chevrolet Donovan all-aluminum block and heads with a single 4-barrel carburetor, and a dual chain drive which splits torque transferred by differential dual sprockets, and a Crower clutch which engages at approximately 1,200 rpm. Despite being direct drive, it has a handlebar clutch lever to disengage clutch like a normal motorcycle. This piece features a 3-gallon tank with a detachable 3-gallon auxiliary tank under the seat with a range of approximately 100 miles. Braking is courtesy of PM aluminum 4-puck disc brakes on front and rear in quarter-midget style. Other specs include a box frame with tube chassis, with solid billet pieces throughout, including the triple tree. The forks are completely custom, with adjustable shocks. Saddle height is 28", and the front tire is a 130/90/B16, rear is a 200/70/B15.
