Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this nicely restored 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria. Very attractive in Raven Black with a red and white interior. Panels are straight with good gaps; paint quality is excellent. Grille bumpers trim lenses and glass are also very nice and all chrome is gleaming (including the fabulous "picnic basket handle" that stretches from the b-pillars across the roof). Newer correct bias-ply Firestone whitewalls on original wheels with restored hubcaps.Interior shows beautifully with miles of chrome in like-new condition; carpet door panels headliner seats and dash are excellent. Underside is straight and solid with excellent floor pans rockers and frame -- there are zero known rust issues (see photos); new gas tank exhaust bushings etc.Mechanically well sorted with rebuilt U-code 272 cubic inch V8 mated to a Fordomatic automatic transmission. Original two-barrel carb with oil-bath air cleaner and aside from a modern battery everything under the hood is correct to the original specification. Starts runs and drives well with rebuilt suspension steering and brake components.The top-of-the-line Ford from 1955 and a striking example of midcentury American automotive design.
