Offered here is a 1957 GMC Pickup.
Body wise it looks like a '56 Chevy with a customized 6"
stretched cab.
Engine is late model 350, transmission is 700R4 automatic
overdrive. Differential is Ford 9 inch with 350 gear.
Chassis has Chevelle subframe with power steering and disc brakes.
Rear end is triangulated four link with coil over shocks.
Body mods include: pick up cab has been lengthened 6 inches and the
doors have also been lengthened 6 inches and open suicide. The rear
of the frame has been stepped up 2 inches placing the bed higher
than normal so the indent on the back of the cab has been raised 2"
also.
Color is Porsche Guards Red.
Dolphin gauges.
Lecarra steering wheel.
BMW flip forward hood.
Aluminum radiator. Truck coolant runs 180-185 degrees.
Has new chrome ralley wheels and BFG TA Radial tires.
I bought this truck 7 years ago and the thing that interested me so
much is the additional leg room I have due to the fact that I am
6'6" tall . Someone that is 7' tall can drive this truck in
comfort. It's amazing how much room you gain by adding the 6"s to
the cab. The seat is a bench from a '92 chevy pickup. Very
comfortable.
When I purchased it I got the chassis and the cab with the
modifications done and the front end was bolted on. Took about 4
years to finish.
This truck is very much a crowd pleaser at shows.
The truck has no air ride system. The way it sits is where you
ride.
I also have a visor painted red that has not been installed but
comes with the truck.
Have four '56 trucks. Time to thin the fleet a little. Getting
ready for retire.
