If you’re looking for a rare Mopar with plenty of eye appeal,
look no further than this stunning UNRESTORED 1970 Plymouth
Barracuda Gran Coupe.
Finished in its original color of Deep Burnt Orange Metallic, this
Barracuda’s finish has a beautiful luster. The exterior is further
enhanced by its chrome and brightwork that is in excellent
condition. Optional rallye wheels provide additional spark.
This Barracuda’s interior is equally sporty, but also includes
elements of luxury befitting its “Gran Coupe” name. Its original
orange houndstooth cloth-and-vinyl bucket seats show as new. You’ll
also appreciate other touches of luxury, such as its simulated
woodgrain center console and dash, and pedal dress up kit. It also
has its original deluxe molded headliner and roof-mounted
consolette including a map light, and warning lamps that let you
know when you’re running low on fuel, or if a door is ajar, in
addition to reminding you to fasten your seat belts—all of which
work as they should. Optional convenience features include a rear
window defogger and factory AM radio with 8-track. With the
exception of the carpeting, the interior is completely original and
in excellent condition.
Under the hood you will find the original 318 CID V-8 mated to the
original 3-speed automatic transmission and rear-end. With 230
horsepower and 320 lbs.-ft. of torque, this Barracuda runs and
drives beautifully. You’ll appreciate its optional power brakes and
power steering, in addition to its optional console mounted “Slap
Stick,” which enables you to drive in automatic or to shift the
gears manually. An optional front anti-sway bar keep this car
firmly planted in the turns. This Barracuda has been driven
regularly, though sparingly, with confidence. Having just 55,800
original miles, this Barracuda runs and drives as well as it
looks.
In addition to the rarity of the Gran Coupe model and its original
presentation, Barracuda connoisseurs will appreciate its original
paperwork, including the factory broadcast sheet, factory warranty
papers, and selected dealer paperwork. Even the original pentastar
keys and original selling dealer key fob from Eastern Motors are
included with sale. Owner history of this three-owner car and
various registration documents will also be provided to the next
owner.
This Barracuda is being sold from the personal collection a Mopar
enthusiast who has owned 75 Barracudas. The owner is so confident
in the performance of this car that he’s willing to drive it right
to your door at cost!
