Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a very cool 1975 Harley Davidson FXE Super Glide. Harley Davidsons and motorcycles in general change hands rather regularly. Often riders outgrow a certain model or come in and out of the riding hobby with age. Because of this, we have for sale a very rare piece. This 1975 Super Glide is a 1 owner vehicle. This bike was purchased new from a Harley dealership in Missouri and lovingly ridden, maintained, and enjoyed by the same individual for the last 40 years. The bike is mostly original save for a few minor changes that could easily put back to original. The odometer shows 86,032 miles; all of which were ridden by the same person. This bike is optioned with both kick and electric start and fires up effortlessly. The vehicle has been maintained religiously and rides just as good as it would have in 1975. The bike features the legendary 1,200cc Shovelhead V-Twin which was rebuilt about 5 years ago. The transmission is a 4 speed box which was rebuilt about 15 years ago and shifts beautifully. This one is finished in jet black with plenty of chrome in beautiful condition. It's hard to believe over so many years the chrome still shines like it does; clearly the bike has been well cared for over the years. The tank and fenders are in great condition and this was the last year of American made fenders on this bike. If you're looking for a clean original bike with a great history, this is it. This can easily be put into a collection or used as an entry into the classic motorcycle hobby.
