The longer hood was no styling miscue,it was necessary to accommodate the 6 cylinder engine that was released just prior to the end of the model year. Meanwhile, the old reliable 171cid 4 cylinder engine gained higher compression, larger valves,aluminum pistons and a revised carburetor for a final breath of life and a rating of 35hp at 2,200rpm. This is a fantastic car,while starting to show it's age,however few remain today in this condition.
