Vehicle Description
This is exactly what hot rod fun looks like. The 1939 Ford Sedan Delivery gives you all the great lines of a classic pre-war design, but the deep paint, shiny wheels, custom interior, A/C, fully independent suspension, and performance-built V8 all tell you the only delivery this one will be making is a ton of envy.
Today we all know the '39 Fords Standards were destine for hot rod duty. It has the teardrop shaped headlights, the long alligator hood, and the front fenders extending beyond the lights to perfectly accept extra wide wheels. But that is just a good starting point; it takes a lot of planning and investment to get a car looking as good as this one. It starts with making sure the nearly 80-year-old Henry Ford steel is looking its best. Then add in modern features like updated wipers and side mirrors. Of course, a big deal is getting the right paint. The Canyon Yellow Pearlescent is a modern hue with a deep luster in the sunlight that gives it distinction on a show field and can draw in a crowd. This kind of shine doesn't need too much chrome - just the right factory pieces like the bumpers and the really cool line that runs the body length and fishhooks at the front. In true classic hot rod form, this one has iconic American Racing Torq Thrust wheels in a staggered tire size for a nice forward-leaning aggressive stance.
Once you open the door, you'll never believe this car is from 1939. The full custom interior has every modern convenience to leave you wanting for nothing. The tan leather bucket seats have modern bolstering to keep you comfy on long trips, and they are power adjustable to that perfect driving position. Plus, in-between is a center console with an armrest and the always-welcomed cup holders. The material on the seats coordinates nicely with the custom side paneling and headliner that runs through the carpeted cargo area. You'll slip behind the Lecarra Gunsmith steering wheel and look out onto a full set of VDO gauges. The setup look particularly nice within the Bitchin dashboard (yes, it's not just how you'd describe the dash, but also the company name!) While the full driver package could be enough to keep you entertained on its own, this Ford was custom built to keep your passenger happy, too. That's why you also get great features like power windows, a thumpin' Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo with subwoofer, and ice-cold air conditioning.
Lift the hood, and beyond the show-worthy shine of the components is a performance-built 350-cubic inch small block V8. The whole car and the motor was constructed less than 25K miles ago to include go-fast goodies like Comp Cams split cam/lifters, Harland sharp roller rockers, and Edelbrock 64cc aluminum heads. The V8 inhales deeply through a new 745 CFM Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Weiand Stealth intake. It exhales with authority from HPC headers on its way through a Flowmaster dual exhaust. That means you get serious power and a serious rumble to tell the world about it. Making sure this motor is consistently at its best are reliable support components like the Mallory distributor, B&M oil cooler, and B&M trans oil cooler. The motor is mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic with shift kit that sends power to the 10-bolt Positration rear end. While all this is the right recipe for great performance driving, there is much more to this custom build. For example, it comes with power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and a fully independent suspension. Add in the overdrive transmission and versatile 3.42 rear end, and this is a hot rod that is quite ready to go the distance.
There's so much more to tell you about (air ride suspension, interior pinstriping, etc.) we just don't have the space to list it all. But when you call today, we'll be happy to tell you the details of the greatest complete custom hot rod deal that you don't want to have pass you by!
