For Sale: 1956 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 Convertible in Seattle, Washington
Great car. I knew I wanted to buy it when I saw it for the first
time. What's not to like? It has new paint, interior, white top and
we installed new wide white radial tires. The '56 Olds has a
beautiful dash. They do not make them like this anymore. The
original front and rear bumpers had some minor blemishes, so Andrew
pulled them off and had them re-chromed. We installed a trunk
carpet set too. We got it serviced and safety checked. Noticed when
driving it was pulling a little. Took it to Clarks's to have the
front end gone through. One thing lead to another. They have a
tranny guy so they pulled the transmission out to rebuild it. They
found the end of the crankshaft had a problem so they pulled the
engine to take the crank out and have it rebuilt. Did not rebuild
the top end as it runs very well. So now the Oldsmobile is in top
shape . This is one stunning automobile, one that you need to see
for yourself! 1956 Olds Rocket 88 Convertible. Cond. # 2 ++++.
