1966 Chevrolet Impala SS
Did somebody say power, torque AND comfort?!?
This is an incredible frame-off restorated and modified '66 Impala SS. This was originally a 427ci car, but is now powered by a totally built and bullet proof 502 Power Plus crate engine. The heads have been ported, it has a matching Merlin intake manifold, Crower flat tappet hydraulic cam with stainless steel roller rocker arms and has been converted to adjustable rockers. All of this is capable of producing in excess of 500 horsepower getting to the ground through a 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive and a 12 bolt 3.73 geared rear-end. The car was originally a 4-speed manual and that transmission is available separately if you would like to convert it back. It has a recently calibrated Holley 3310 carburetor with electric choke, a Davis Unified Ignition Marine quality distributor, 8 inch fluid damper, B&M SFI approved flexplate, marine version Inconel es valves, torque plate hone, file fit rings and Michigan CL-77 bearings. The dual exhaust is 3? and brand new running from custom headers down to chrome exhaust tips in the rear. The car has been dyno tested and all of the records go with the car.
The exterior was stripped to bare metal and any/all repairs to the steel made. Color correct black paint was applied and all of the chrome has been redone. The car has a custom hood with cowl but the original steel one is available as well. It sits on 15-inch American Racing Wheels and like new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.
The interior has been completely redone with custom SS leather seats, new carpet and all trim refurbished. It is fully loaded with all working gauges intact. It has power windows, locks and even the optional driver seat. The AM radio is fully functional and all the speakers have been replaced with Clarion's powered through a 2000 watt Pyle amplifier in the trunk. It is run completely through a smart phone with attachment located in the console.
Less than 3500 miles since the restoration and complete tune-up just done so it is ready to go.
