1969 Jaguar E-TYPE 4.2 FHC. Dark Blue with blue interior, 69K miles, 5-speed stick shift. 3 Owners, originally from El Paso, Texas. No rust ever. Driven to Michigan in 2007, disassembled and restored to #2 condition.
This Jaguar has been driven a total of 25K miles since 2007 including a 3 week trip out west totaling over 6K miles by Mike B., a Jaguar collector/enthusiast and expert. It was restored by Mike and upgraded to his very high standards; which include upgrading the air conditioning with a complete new system, adding 2" triple SU carburetors and a new 5 speed Driven Man conversion. Heritage Certificate. Trades considered.
This Jaguar is ready to show or drive anywhere. All maintenance is up to date. Fantastic driving E-TYPE. Below is a list of all the work that has been performed by the last owner.
Rebuild 2008-2009 included:
New exterior paint and replacement of right foot well; no rust repairs required.
Installation of Driven Man 5-speed trans conversion.
New clutch and throw-out bearing.
Engine inspection; replace oil pump. Replace crankshaft damper.
Install triple, 2" SU carburetors from Series 1 E-Type. Carbs were complete re-built.
Install Pertronix pointless distributor and matching high output coil.
Rebuilt rear suspension unit; all new bearings and seals.
Rebuild rear differential unit including new clutch pack, seals and upgraded XJS style tapered bearings.
All new shocks around.
Complete brake rebuilt including all new rotors, pads, master cylinder, booster, SS braded flex lines, and sleeved/reconditioned calipers.
Complete front suspension rebuilt with "poly" bushings. New front wheel bearings. Adjustable torsion bar reaction plate.
Five new, tubeless Dayton wire wheels.
Vredestein 185X15 radial tires.
Bell stainless steel exhaust system.
Ceramic coated exhaust manifolds.
European style, high intensity headlights.
New heater element and new fan motor.
Install RetroAir complete replacement air conditioning system including auxiliary cooling fan.
Install Koolmat floor insulation kit.
Rebuilt windshield wiper motor.
New windshield washer unit. New wiper arms and blades.
New windshield (tinted).
New leather seat covers and foam cushions.
New floor carpets
New interior door panels.
New dash top.
New leather cover and pad for center cubby.
Speedometer tachometer rebuilt.
New dash clock.
Glass tint on rear quarter and rear windows.
Modern radio.
Replace all light bulbs; replace/refurbish switches as necessary.
