1958 Oldsmobile 88 Holiday Sedan Resided with the same family for 31 years! This three owner example was purchased new from Kingsley Oldsmobile Inc., in March of 1958, and has resided with the same family for 31 years. This Oldsmobile and spent it's entire life less than 40 miles from the dealership! The Oldsmobile that emerged in 1958 bore little resemblance to the design of its forerunners. Up front, all 1958 Oldsmobile's received one of General Motors' heavily styled front fascias and quad-headlights. Streaking back from the edge of the headlights was a broad belt consisting of two strips of chrome on regular 88s, three strips on Super 88s. The bottom of the rear fender featured a thick stamping of a half tube that pointed forward, atop which was a chrome assembly of four horizontal chrome speed-lines that terminated into a vertical bar. The tail of the car featured massive vertical chrome taillight housings with two chrome stars fitted to the trunk lid. Finished in the original color two-tone Sandstone (code 63) and Alaskan White (code 60). This sedan shows well, while the roof condition mirrors the finish of the lower body. All the trim is present, complete, and displays well. The front and rear chrome bumpers fit is tight. The weather-stripping is pliable, and performs it's job well. The original 14-inch wheels present and show well. Inside, the  two-tone combination beige (code 364) cloth & vinyl seats look great. The matching headliner shows well and continues the on-going theme of the car. The beige door panels compliment the seats and dashboard is designed to mirror the cabin and compliment the exterior of the car. All gauges, including the Speed Minder speedometer are in original condition and function as designed. The originally equipped steering wheel shows little wear, however, the horn is inoperable. The factory carpet is complete and compliments the rest of the cabin. Also this car comes equipped with the original Oldsmobile "Deluxe" radio. Finally, an original owner's manual and guide comes with the car. This Oldsmobile is equipped with a 2 barrel Rochester carbureted 371cid Rocket V8 cylinder engine, mated to a 4-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Included is power steering and power drum brakes. 14-inch original equipment exterior matching steel wheels with full Oldsmobile hub caps and whitewall tires complete this Oldsmobile.
