Up for sale we have a 1970 Buick GS Stage 1. It comes with
paperwork from the GS Historical Society. This is a gorgeous car
that you can be proud to drive or show. In the paragraphs to follow
we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and
driveline of the Buick, but first we would like to tell you a
little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee.
We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no
consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You
can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a
big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So,
that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us
for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at
(865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the GS. The body is laser
straight with great gaps. Everything is covered in the Black Paint
that is accented by the Black Vinyl Top. The paint has a deep rich
shine with the jams and trunk being as slick as the body. This
Buick has the correct GS Hood and Badges. When this car was
restored no expense was spared. It had all new bumpers installed
along with other new chrome. All the weather stripping was replaced
along with new window seals. To complete the look, it's sitting on
Rally wheels with white letter tires.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Stage 1. On the
inside it's all done in Black to match the exterior. It has bucket
seats and console that are correct for this car. Also it has Power
Windows that all work along with Power Door locks. This Buick also
has Power Seats, cruise control, and tilt wheel. When you look at
the dash it all looks correct down to the in dash Tach. Also it has
the correct AM/FM with the 8 track player. Most importantly you
can't overlook that it has Factory A/C.
Finally, we will look at the drivetrain of the Buick. Under the
hood it's powered by a 455 Stage 1 V8 that's a correct 70 model.
The engine is mated to a BB code Stage 1 400 Turbo Trans and a 00
coded 3:42 Posi Rear End. Under the hood of this Buick it looks as
it would have in 1970. It has the Stage 1 breather to pull fresh
air from the dual opening in the hood. This Stage 1 comes with
Factory AC, Factory Power Steering and Power Brakes with Front Disc
Brakes. When you look under it you are sure to like what you see.
It has rock solid floor pans and frame. Also it has a new fuel tank
and lines along with have the front and rear bushings replaced.
