MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this handsome and rarely seen 1952 Military Willys Jeep was subject to a ground-up restoration by a father and son team! Their attention to detail for period "correctness" is apparent right down to the centered mounted .50 caliber machine gun!
Finished in it's period correct Olive Green, this post-WWII Jeep based on the CJ-3A was fitted with military-specific features, including a one-piece foldable windshield, bottom-mounted wipers, a pintle hook for towing, lifting shackles, and a fuel filler on the drivers side. Pioneer tools (axe and shovel) were mounted on the passenger side, rear mounted spares along with a waterproof electrical system, requiring a second battery. Included with the purchase of this jeep is the a 1952 6-foot by 4.5-foot authentic Army trailer with Olive canvass top and functioning trailer brakes.
Inside, the interior continues the Olive Green paint theme to mirror the exterior. The two front and rear bench seats are covered with the same Olive colored canvass. The instruments were clustered in the center, the fuel and temperature gauges are inoperable. The jeeps data plates to their right. To the left were the choke and throttle, with the light switch just left of the steering column, and at the far left the parking brake handle was mounted in the dashboard. The windshield wipers are inoperable. A dash mounted red lens flashlight., R-108 radio receiver with protective covering and rear mounted "whip" antenna, rear mounted spare fuel/water can, brass atomizer, two period correct helmets and flak jacket with body armor! The original steering is period correct and functions as designed. Also included with this jeep is a floor mounted MA-2 50 caliber Browning machine gun...however, it does NOT function as originally designed.
This nicely original presented Willys jeep comes equipped with a 60bhp, 134cid inline four-cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed T-90 manual gearbox with two-speed Dana 18 transfer case, four-wheel drive, Dana 25 front axel with and full-floating Dana 44 rear axles with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic brakes. The M38 suspension and frame were stronger than that of its civilian sibling. The wheels are 16-inch military grade steel wheels with larger all terrain tires.
This is the ideal gift for any military buff. Perfect for display at any military collection, a reliable driver to participate city parades or a subtle way to get your neighbor to turn down his radio! GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
Current mileage on the odometer shows 175 miles and is sold as is with a clear mileage exempt Oklahoma title.
