Sold on 6/12/73 to Sinclair Rogers of Monett, Missouri at McCallister Porsche in Springfield, MO for $8,450. Sinclair and his wife Jane had originally gone in to purchase a 914, but the salesman worked out a deal, and they went home with this beautiful Kelly Green 911T.
The Rogers would go on to own the car for the next 27 years, only taking it out of the garage to go on a trip, and never in foul weather. This meticulous care preserved the car beautifully, including its original paint and interior. The only major change in the Porsche during their ownership would be the replacement of the original Sigla windshield in the 1970s.
In October of 2000 the time finally came to sell the car, and it moved on to Sidney Griffith of Springfield, MO. Griffith would be another long-term owner of the 911T, keeping it in his possession until 2012. The last owner from Tennessee would offer the car in trade to Canepa in January of this year.
Since arriving at Canepa this 911T has undergone the Canepa Difference preparation; mechanically and cosmetically it has been serviced and detailed to a show level, while keeping an exacting eye on preserving the car's originality.
