Originally built in 2010 by Dave Skyles of D&M Street Rods in
Sanford, Florida. A winner at the LA Roadster Show, Skyles has
built over 30 customs and is a dealer for Brookville Roadster. The
roadster has a Brookville all-steel body and frame. Instead of
going the typical Chevy small block route, Skyles decided to keep
the Ford a Ford. So into that new chassis he put a Ford 302 HO
crate engine, Ford AOD 4-speed automatic transmission, and Ford
9-inch rear end.
Before the project was completed it was purchased by an admirer,
and was sent to his home in Arizona. Unfortunately the admirer
didn't have the time to complete the car, with a '57 Chevy and '37
Chevy 3-window ahead of it in line.
The Roaster was traded in at Canepa where Bruce decided to put on a
few of his own touches. The windshield was raked back, a new black
leather interior fitted, the wheels were painted black, and the
trunk space finished. This car runs, drives, and has a current 1932
Ford title.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the '32 Ford enthusiast: a
well-executed hot rod, done correctly, sorted and customized by
Canepa, and selling for less than half of what it would cost to
build to this point. This '32 is ready to drive as it sits, or,
being a custom, add a few of your own touches.
