For Sale: 1964 Oldsmobile Cutlass F-85 in Elkin, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

Awesome 1964 Oldsmobile Cutlass F85 Holiday Coupe.

These cars that have been restored are few and far between whereas I know I will eventually regret selling this car. My first car was a 1964 F85 and I have wanted one for years but now I am having to choose between this car and another car that I am passionate about finishing the build, a C2 vette. This car is really fun to drive to cruise ins and definitely gets a lot of attention because you never see one mixed in with all of the Chevelles, Camaros and Vettes.
I am the 4th owner of this car based on the history made available to me. This car was special ordered with the three speed manual transmission. From my research on these cars, this seems to be a unique feature on the Holiday Coupes. The car was maintained by the original owner until he passed away and the car was inherited by his grandson. The grandson sold the car about 7 years ago to 3rd owner who did an on frame restoration with plans to give the car to his father. His father wanted the color change but unfortunately was never able to drive and enjoy the car whereas the 3rd Owner decided to sell it. The car was originally blue on blue but converted to the maroon on white color scheme and badged as a 442 tribute car. The 3rd Owner rebuilt the engine basically back to stock specs (330 CID (5.4L), 290 HP V8 with dual exhaust) but added a holley 4 barrel carb. I do have a Muncie 4 speed transmission and shifter for this car and was going to convert it until I decided to sell the car. I have a large stack of pics from the 3rd Owner showing the restoration. The car has a high quality paint finish by Miller Brothers in Wilkesboro, NC.

This Cutlass has aftermarket AC (vents in dash) with PB and PS. The chassis was completely rebuilt and brakes converted to disc. I am having the original 4 barrel rochester carb rebuilt and will install it so I can put the original air cleaner back on the car whereas the engine pic shows an aluminum air breather. The car also has the original console with tach. The main difference in this sports coupe and the 442 package is the engine (was modified to push 310 HP) and a stiffer frame and of course, the 4 speed transmission. I also have all four of the original hub caps.

I have owned several classic/muscle cars over the years and have been around the restoration business for many years based on my son owning/operating a high end restoration/body/paint/speedshop. I am very particular about small details that make the difference between a nice driver and a show piece. There is no way I would ever buy a high end car/truck unless I can see it and touch it. Pictures never show the real quality or flaws. I will be more than glad to discuss this car, take any additional pictures and would hope you will come look at this car and drive it if you are really interested. So with this being said, I can make any modifications to this car that a buyer might want.
