Vehicle Description
1958 Chevrolet Biscayne
When you spend most of your days around classic cars it is awesome
to see something completely different. When most people think 50's
they typically go to the Bel Air but Chevrolet actually put out an
extremely cool car with a great look known as the Biscayne. This
1958 Chevrolet Biscayne has some amazing bodylines and is
incredibly unique. It without a doubt has one of the coolest rear
end looks ever produced. This 2 door sedan was completely frame off
restored so despite being over 50 years old it looks like it is
brand new. It was finished off by one of the best builders in the
area that only puts out top notch work. This isn't a shop that is
cranking out cars to sell but an individual that works on one car
at a time and leaves no bolt left unturned. The car is coated in
the original colors, Tropical Turquoise and White, and has an
awesome finish. The car looks amazing out in the sun and shines
like a mirror. The body was dipped prior to being painted to
eliminate any possible rust areas. The trim on this car is all in
place and was redone just like everything else. All of the
stainless and chrome has a beautiful finish. It is cars like these
that really make you admire the time that was devoted to the design
aspect of these old cars. Dual headlights are found up front with
dual LED taillights in rear. The rear bezels look really cool on
this classic and are nicely mounted. The front tubular grill spans
the entire length of the front and tops the nice chrome bumper. The
glass has all been tinted and is free of any scratches/chips, etc.
The stock hood looks great but if a louvered style hood is what you
prefer, one that is already painted to match comes with the
purchase of the car. It rides on chrome Rev wheels with powder
coated centers that were painted match. They are wrapped with are
wrapped with Diamondback wide white wall radial tires.
Powering the car is a brand new fast burn 385 V8 that has been
fitted with chrome valve covers, a Holley Street Avenger 770cfm
carburetor and serpentine belt system. Topping it off is a custom
painted and pinstriped Cadillac air cleaner. The engine is backed
by a 4 speed Muncie transmission that shifts extremely smoothly and
makes the car really fun to cruise around in. Disc brakes were
added up front for some extra stopping power. 2" drop spindles are
another nice addition slightly lowering the front end and giving a
nice stance.
The interior is done in an original style but you can bet it
utilizes all new components. Even the original style Chevrolet
AM/FM/Cassette deck is in place and sounds great. It was redone in
the original color and the upholstery work is in great shape. The
gauges all work perfectly and have been upgraded to Dakota Digital
VHX Analog/Digital gauges. An Old Air AC/Heat system is nicely
mounted and works just as it should. To the floor you will find a 4
speed Hurst shifter that adds the perfect hotrod touch. Every inch
of this car has been redone and is flawless. It is like driving a
new 1958 Chevrolet Biscayne. Not a single thing was left untouched
during the build and it has only racked up 1,715 miles since the
frame of restoration. If time machines were real it would still be
tough to go back and find one from the factory nicer than this one.
This car would look amazing in any collection and shows extremely
well.
